YTR-8335RG

The Spirit of Perfection
For years top players have been attracted to a uniquetrumpet they noticed while on international tours. It was a high-grade handcrafted professional model called ‘Xeno’, and it was sold only to samurai. At least, that’s what the pros started saying, only half in jest, when Yamaha steadfastly refused to make the Xeno available anywhere but in Japan. "We’re not yet ready to send it out into the world," we explained. "We’re making it perfect, refining it down to the smallest detail." Patiently, step by step, year after year, we worked our way through every tiny element-from brace size and position, to mouthpiece receiver design, to bell material processing techniques-until we had created what we consider the pinnacle in the art of trumpet manufacture: the Xeno. Built with the spirit of perfection. Ready for the world.

A special version of the Xeno is available which features several variations from the standard models.
It has a reversed-style single brace tuning slide for quicker response and playing agility. This also permits a longer leadpipe taper for stable, even intonation. The weighted mouthpiece receiver adds body to the tonal core, and helps the sound hold together at large dynamics. The 1st valve slide has a finger ring, as preferred by some players.

Reversed Leadpipe Model
The leadpipe and tuning slide of the YTR-8335RG are reversed style with a single brace for quicker response and playing agility. The longer leadpipe contributes to the centered, even intonation. A weighted mouthpiece receiver adds body to the tonal core, and helps hold the sound together at large dynamics. This model has a ring on the 1st valve slide, and no water key on the third valve slide, as preferred by some players.
