As if emerging from the desert sands, hieroglyphic symbols are used as position markers on the CPX15EA’s bound ebony fingerboard, and as decoration within the exquisite wood-inlaid, sun-motif soundhole rosette. Appropriately, the guitar is lustrously finished in sunburst, the effect enhanced by the sumptuous quilting of the warm-sounding mahogany back and sides.
The piezo/mic system - the mic mounted in fixed position underneath the bridge plate - allows both signals to be blended for the ultimate in acoustic-like realism, while the preamp’s four-band EQ includes presence for added sparkle and a variable midrange (300Hz - 2kHz) for extended tonal adjustment. The soundhole cover supplied helps prevent feedback in high-volume situations.
