Sonny Thet was born in Cambodja and studied the cello from 1965-1969 at the “Royal University for Fine Arts” in Phnom Penh. Prince Sihanouk then himself send him to the Music University “Franz Liszt” in Weimar, Germany.
After he graduated, Sonny is working as a solo cello player and performs on tours around the globe. Thet has also composed music for films and theatres in Europe and U.S.A.
