The Stage Custom series encompasses standard size 14”x5.5” drums in wood and metal shells, plus a special smaller-size series of three wood-shelled drums. These measure 13”x5”, 12”x5” and 10”x5” and have previously been unavailable in this price bracket.
All the wood shell drums are constructed from an 8-ply composite of birch, Philippine mahogany and falkata wood, using our Air-Seal system which ensures perfectly round shells. The metal drum has a 1.2mm seamless, chrome-plated steel shell. All drums have one-piece chrome-plated tension brackets with spring-less, noise-free operation.
The wood shell drums are available in a choice of five lacquered finishes. While the 13” piccolo drum can be used as a main or secondary snare, the soprano (12”) and sopranino (10”) drums are fitted with tom-style rod clamps so that they can be mounted from a tom holder and positioned anywhere around your kit.
All drums have 1.6mm triple flange steel rims, 45 degree bearing edges and 1.8mm snare beds. They also all feature our traditional (B-5) L-type release-side strainer and (B-3N) R-type butt-side plate. Snares are hi-carbon steel with 20 strands on the 14” drums and 14 strands on the three smaller drums.
