The drummer’s seat is often overlooked and yet a good stool is vital to beat fatigue and long-term postural problems.
The DS640 and DS750 have 300mm diameter round seats and single-braced tripod bases. The DS840 has a double-braced tripod base and deeper seat. Then, at the top of the range, the DS950 and DS1100 both have four double-braced, wide stance legs and large square seats with edge support.
Continuous height adjustment is achieved on the DS840 and DS950 via a heavy-duty screw rod which works simply by rotating the seat. The DS1100 meanwhile uses a gas-spring lever-operated gliding height adjustment, similar in principle to that used in car shock absorbers. These top three stools also have extra large aluminium die-cast seat mounts for strength and stability.
For the ultimate in comfort and support a large optional back support is also available with the top range DS1100 and DS950 stools.
