The Junior Original Concert (JOC) is an opportunity for children studying at Yamaha Music Schools to perform their own compositions. This is the ultimate realization of the basic educational concept of the Yamaha Music School to freely express one's own feelings through music in a relaxed manner. It was started, not as a competition, but as a place for children to present their own compositions to the public in order to unleash their unlimited potential and encourage their growth. Since the first concert was held at Yamaha's Nemu-no-Sato in 1972, its scale has expanded every year. At present, we receive over 35,000 applications each year.
