These tenor trombones were developed in cooperation with Thomas Horch (Germany), Alain Trudel (USA) and Peter Sullivan (USA).

Tenor trombones

YSL-697Z
A totally new designed jazz trombone with a messing slide.

YSL-350C
Student Model. The YSL-350C has a shorter slide and bell section and is lightweight and well balanced, for a easy to handling even by younger/smaller children.

YSL-354
Standard Model. The YSL-354 features many of the qualities of our top pro models.

YSL-445GE
Intermediate Model. The YSL-445GE features a beautiful rich tone, balanced response and perfect mechanics.

Intermediate Model. The YSL-447GE delivers a quick response and comfortable playability which is consistent in almost any register, at almost any dynamic.

We have redesigned the professional 600 series trombones! The line includes four models, all of which are perfect for professional trombone players as well as college level musicians.

Tenor/bass trombones

YSL-356G
Intermediate Model. Yamaha´s intermediate model tenor/bass trombone features many of the qualities of our top pro models.

YSL-446GE
Intermediate Model. The bore and bell sizes of the YSL-446GE is the same as the sizes of professional models.

YSL-448GE
Intermediate Model. The YSL-448GE features a 8" bell made of top-grade gold brass for a warm, rich sound which can fill a concert hall.

Alto trombones

YSL-671
Professional Model. The YSL-671 has already become the "standard" alto for many soloists.

YSL-871
The new YSL-871 alto trombone has a same development concept of the successful XENO series. Developed with Thomas Horch (Principal Trombone of Bavarian Radio Orchestra Munich) the significant improvements are outstanding sound, more flexibility and a great playability.

Bass trombones

YBL-822G
The YBL-822G was developed with Douglas Yeo, Bass trombonist of the Boston Symphonic Orchestra. Mr. Yeo plays this trombone exclusively and his big passion guided the development of this new instrument to meet his strict requirements.

YBL-830
The YBL-830 features several improvements such as enhanced flexibility, expressiveness and a more open feel and response. The sound is very powerful and lot of the positive characters of the XENO tenor trombone are adopted.
