From the very start, our L series guitars are in the safe hands of Mr. Shizuo Suzuki; he has over thirty years experience in choosing quality materials for guitar making. His knowledge ensures our timber is of the highest grade and has the correct grain angle and width required for a quality instrument.
The top of the smallbodied LSX26C is made of Engelmann spruce (Canada) that naturally suits the role for top woods better than any other sprucetypes.
Solid rosewood for both the back and sides blends extremely well with the Engelmann spruce top. It disperses resonance evenly and effortlessly. Like all L-series guitars the LSX benefits from a new non-scalloped bracing design that delivers a tone that is thick and well focused. A built-in preamp with piezo pickup provides the ultimate in acoustic electric sound.
The five-piece neck ist carved from a single laminated block that features two layers of padauk - an extremely hard wood used for marimba tone bars - sandwiched between three layers of mahogany. This design creates a neck that is exceptionally strong and stable-great for those players who prefer low string height. The #16 and #6 model instruments utilize similar 3-ply design of rosewood between two layers of mahogany.
The LCX26C features a classic Venetian style body cutaway. The cutaway offers enhanced upper fret access for stage use without sacrificing any of the tone or style of the full bodied models.
