Like the CPX15A, the CPX15CM sports sumptuous nautical flag markers on the fingerboard and within the wood-inlaid soundhole rosette, but swops the spruce/rosewood specification for a solid cedar top and mahogany back and sides. The sound is equally clear and punchy, with a tonal warmth and sweetness that some players prefer.
The excellent two-way piezo/mic system - the mic mounted in fixed position underneath the bridge plate - allows both signals to be blended for the ultimate in acoustic-like realism, while the four-band EQ includes presence for added sparkle and a variable midrange (300Hz - 2kHz) for extended tonal adjustment. The supplied soundhole cover helps prevent feedback in high-volume situations.
