Using top-quality materials throughout, the APX9C’s body of a solid spruce top and select sycamore back and sides produces a brightly vibrant sound with a precise, beautifully balanced definition across the strings. Adornments, not least the white-bound neck and abalone-inlaid soundhole ring, are immaculately executed too, complementing the choice of colour finishes.
The guitar’s internal mic is mounted on an adjustable gooseneck for optimum positioning, and the signal can be mixed with the piezo pickup to deliver an impressive spectrum of high-quality powered sounds with a realistic concert-like ambience. The EQ’s wide-band, variable midrange (80Hz - 10kHz) maximises the tonal possibilities, while the phase reverse and supplied soundhole cover help prevent feedback at high volumes.
