Gorgeous to look at, a powerhouse to play, the big-bodied CJX32’s all-solid-wood spruce/flame-maple construction means an acoustic sound that really cuts through, with ringing, precisely defined highs and deep solid lows.
But that’s only half the story, because the instrument’s two-way pickup system - with the mic mounted on an adjustable gooseneck for optimum positioning - allows both signals to be mixed together for a variety of superbly realistic powered sounds. The three-band EQ’s variable midrange (80Hz - 6Hz) provides extensive tonal control of the under-saddle pickup, and there’s a separate mic tone control and a phase switch for creating the most natural blended voicing. The supplied soundhole cover helps prevents feedback at high volumes.
