Steve Jordan Signature Snare Drum
Steve Jordan's playing style is amazing, versatile & seriously funky. Steve has been playing Yamaha Drums since 1978. The list of artists he has been worked with is endless including such luminaries as the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Stevie Nicks, James Taylor, Mick Jagger, Billy Joel, BB King, Chaka Kahn, Sonny Rollins, Luther Vandross and Bruce Springsteen. Additionally, Steve has received two Grammy's, played the Kennedy Center Honors three times, recorded on two John Singleton movies "Shaft,"and "Babyboy," and just finished consulting and being the musical director on the "Standing in the Shadows of Motown" project.
Steve has been the Rain Forest Alliance's emcee for the past 4 years at their annual benefit concerts. Because of his environmental concerns, his signature snare is the first environmentally-friendly signature snare ever. The special Maple wood comes from an environmental project that, when a Maple tree is cut and removed from that land, another tree is immediately planted in its place.
Steve: „This 13“ x 6,5“ snare sounds great, and the maple it is made of environmentally sounds as well. It´s acoustically and structurally in tune with Mother Nature”
