More Than Your Average Metronome
With the ClickStation, Yamaha has redesigned the metronome with features and
function that make it an indispensable tool for the performing artist. For instance, its
unique vibrating pad that provides the user with a clear time reference through the
sense of feel in situations where audio or visual means may be distracting. For the
performer that needs tempos for a set list or concert program, settings can be saved
as songs and organized into chains that let you recall the tempos in order of
performance quickly and easily.
Other features that make the ClickStation more versatile than your average
metronome are individual volume controls for half-, quarter-, eighth-, and sixteenthnote
subdivisions, the capability to sync to a MIDI device like a sequencer, and a
trigger input for remote start/stop control of playback or tap tempo functions.
Features and functions that make the ClickStation much more than a metronome.
Feel the tempo
The ClickStation is equipped with a small round vibrating pad that
pulsates in tempo with the beat. In situations where audible or
visual cues may be distracting, simply press your finger on the
pulsating pad to clearly feel where the tempo is.
86 memory allocations for saving time
Tempo settings can be saved as songs in the ClickStation’s
internal memory for recall and playback later. If you need tempos
for each song in a set, you can arrange up to 20 songs into a chain
for consecutive playback. The ClickStation provides memory for up
to 10 chains making it a great aid for a variety of performing
situations.
Individual volume controls for subdivision beats
Individual volume controls for half-, quarter-, eighth-, sixteenthnote,
eighth-note triplets and accompaniment let you fine tune
volume output of subdivisions making complex beats easier to
understand.
Easy to read backlit LCD
Information is displayed on the LCD in an easy to read at a glance
manner. A backlight ensures that information is understandable
even on a dark stage and its light can be set to remain lit as long
as the power is on, or to switch off in order to conserve power.
10-Key pad offers direct tempo input
In addition to the jog dial, the 10-key pad provides fast input of
tempos as well as access to the ClickStation’s functions.
MIDI IN jack offers syncing with MIDI devices.
With the MIDI IN jack located on the side of the unit, the
ClickStation is able to sync with the MIDI clock from a sequencer
or other such MIDI device.
Trigger input provides remote start/stop playback and tap tempo functions.
Connect the trigger input jack to a DTX drum pad and use trigger
input from the pad to start or stop the ClickStation’s metronome, or
set the tempo using the tap tempo function.
