Diverse. Powerful. Experimental. This is how Kerrang’s Rae Alexandra described Fony.
Biography:
The unexpected product of the Surrey music scene, Fony have made their mark on the nu-metal scene touring with big hitters like Lostprophets, One Minutes Silence and Earthtone9.
After meeting at college in 1998, the band independently released their debut EP ‘Join In And Hide Yourself’ to a wealth of interest and soon found themselves signed to Casket Music. Their first commercial release, Routine Irregular, proved Fony to be a big part of the future of nu-metal and their subsequent release, Circles, does nothing to refute that claim. With a single spending 3 weeks in the Kerrang TV Top 20 and the crushing new album Circles released in October 2003, Fony are, in the words of Kerrang’s Rae Alexandra ‘...the sound of one of Britain's most promising new bands’.
