Bradford YMS Goes To Milan

In 2005, Rino Grice, Principal Teacher of Bradford YMS, hosted a unique exchange visit from YMS Milan. This year YMS Bradford students visited Italy as guests of the Italian students.

The programme for the week included a joint concert of dance music in Milan over the Spring Bank Holiday. Pieces that were performed included: Blue Danube. Dance of the Capulets, Tequila and Aint Necessarily So, performed by guitar ensembles, keyboard ensembles and piano solo.
The Bradford students were treated to a very exciting time, staying in the homes of their Italian hosts, sight-seeing in Milan - which included a visit to La Scala, the Catherdral and Shopping in the Galleria - and a day trip to Lake Como, sailing around the lake.
Comments received from students were: 'A week we shall never forget', and 'The best week of my life'.
