Guitar strings are an integral part of a guitar, but are often the last thing to get cleaned or replaced! After a while strings will dirty and begin to rust so changing them regularly is important.

Changing your strings correctly will ensure that the strings stay in tune much better and don’t break as easily. Just follow this simple guide for string changing bliss!

1. Line the up the hole in the tuners so that they are pointing down the guitar

2. Insert the string through the hole making sure you leave a little slack in the string.

3. Wrap the end of the string towards the truss rod cover and under the taught string.

4. While continuing to pull tight, bend the string back over itself so that the string locks in place when tightened.

5. Tune up the string making sure nothing slips and the string is stable. At this point you can stretch the string a couple of times to allow for easier tuning stability.

6. Cut off the excess string

7. Play!
