Yamaha and the organisers of the London International Music Show (LIMS) are offering two pairs of tickets that will get you into this amazing show for free…………….and without having to queue. LIMS incorporates 4 shows – London Guitar Show, Drummer Live, The Sound Recording Technology Show and Unplugged 08 and is being held at Excel in London from 13 – 15 June – so whatever your interest there will definitely be something there for you.

Yamaha are at the show with one of our biggest stands ever, displaying a huge line up of exciting new products.  Join us to talk technical, get hands on or just enjoy the demos from our industry experts.

If pianos are what you live for then you will be able to discover the world of Silent Pianos alongside the latest additions to the Yamaha piano range including the Radius ‘Designer Series’ and the B3 – the new standard. 

If electronics are more your thing then you can’t afford to miss Bert Smorenberg demonstrating our latest Music Production Gear. Now with a big following on YouTube Bert will blow you away with his performance on Motifxs and MM6 synths and the exciting new KX series USB keyboard studio. You may have heard a lot about Tenori-On, the digital instrument for the 21st century. To see exactly what it can do come and check out DJ Marc 01 performing his set on the stand. We will also be showing Pocketrak 2G portable recorder,  Audiogram USB Studios and new models in the award-winning Stagepas portable PA lineup.

It’s an amazing year for Yamaha Drums and we will be unveiling the new Phoenix  and DTXTreme III kits for the first time in the UK along with a extensive display of Zildjian Cymbals. Simon Edgoose our expert on DTX will be doing demonstrations all day long and he’ll be there to answer your questions and give you some great hints and tips to get the best out of your electronic drums. Yamaha Guitars will be showing the industry-leading APX/CPX range of electro-acoustic guitars featuring the new CPX500 alongside the latest L-Series handcrafted acoustics, now featuring Yamaha's exclusive ART pickup technology and ARE pre-aged wood treatment. The class leading Pacifica 112V will be on show with the A2 range of lightweight basses and electrics along with another UK first, the BB714 Billy Sheehan Signature bass.

Yamaha home keyboards will also be presenting a wide range of brand new instruments at the show.  The display will include the new CLP '300' series Clavinovas, the latest DGX Portable Grands,  the new Arius YDP141 digital piano and Modus F11 self play 'designer piano'.

A wide range of strings, brass and woodwind instruments will be on display featuring the latest saxes and trumpets with live performances throughout the day from some of the most sought after young session players in the industry.

For the first time we will also be showing Yamaha AV and Hi-Fi Equipment. The amazing YSP sound projector will be on show along with Hi-Fi equipment for you listening pleasure.

If you are teacher then come along on Friday 13th and talk to Bill Martin our Education Manager about our new online education community. We’ll also have special sessions on starting out on the drums and there will also be a seminar on how to incorporate Yamaha’s electronic strings into teaching.

And that’s not all because LIMS is all about live music so once you’ve had your fill of playing the new gear you can go and hear the professionals put it through its paces.  Billy Sheehan will be on the London Guitar Show stage on Saturday and if you feel like spending the evening with us join us at the Drummer Night. A yet to be confirmed line up will be playing and tickets are being sold to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. There will be some great Yamaha drummers on the bill so stick around and enjoy some great grooves.
